Welcome to Ann Arbor Hardcourt Bike Polo

Hello Reader,

this is a blog reporting on and spreading information about hardcourt bike polo, in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

We have been playing since late 2007. Last year was a good building year for a2Polo, we sent teams to the Midwest Championships in Minneapolis MN, North American Hardcourt Bike Polo Championships in Madison WI, and the Midwest Open in Lexington KY. We didn’t get near any podiums but we learned a lot from all the teams we played against.

We are all itching to get out of our beloved/hated parking structure and play outside, with the snowfall today it looks like will keep waiting.

If you are looking for more information on the club please look here:

We hosted the Grand Rapids and Fort Wayne clubs for some friendlies back in January. Here are some photos from that.

  1. Hey there from Lancaster,

I can understand your want to get out of that garage, but it looks pretty sweet compared to our 5 hour snow shoveling parties.

In January we sent some of our boys up to Boston for the Winter Lockdown, and they said the same thing you do here: great fun, but you really see what level of play the rest of the clubs are at. Keeps you humble, I guess.

I look forward to reading more about your club, and wish you all the best.

    • Hey Lancaster!

Yes we are lucky to have the tunderdrome, but those pillars you can see in the third shot run the legnth of the court. I call it bumper polo sometimes.

I just read your mallet review, and i should do one too, after a few like you did.

Stay warm when you guys are out shoveling, i did that once here, and i won’t do it again as long as we can play in the the thunderdrome.

I’ll try and post some more photos and a brief history of the club later.

      Take care Lancaster Polo!
